A puppy starter checklist for new dog parents
The first things to have at home before a puppy arrives, from a collar to waste bags.
For the first walk
A collar that fits and a leash you can hold comfortably. Check the fit often, because puppies grow fast.
Carry waste bags every time you step out. It keeps neighbourhoods clean and is the courteous thing to do.
For mealtimes
A bowl that suits your puppy's size, kept clean and in a quiet spot. Ask your veterinarian what and how much to feed.
For teething and play
Puppies chew. Offer a teether toy made for puppies and supervise. Put it away when it is damaged.
For tidy-ups
Grooming wipes are handy for a quick wipe-down after a walk. Everything above comes together in our Puppy Starter Box if you would like it in one parcel.
Speak to your veterinarian about vaccinations, food and any health questions. This list is not medical advice.
