Cat play and enrichment ideas for apartment homes
Simple ways to keep an indoor cat active and curious with a wand, a tunnel, crinkle balls and a scratcher.
Short play sessions, often
Cats usually like a few short play sessions a day rather than one long one. A wand toy lets you move the toy like prey, so your cat can stalk, chase and pounce.
Give them places to explore
A tunnel gives a cat somewhere to hide, peek and dash through. Crinkle balls are light to bat around. A scratcher gives claws something suitable to work on.
Rotate and supervise
Swap toys every few days so they feel new. Never leave the wand string with your cat unattended, and put toys away when play ends.
